We automatically add new plugins from the WordPress repository once a month in the background. Premium plugins are added manually as their creators inform us of their existence.
How many plugins does Ploogins work with?
Users can find personalized recommendations among more than 70,000 free and paid plugins. The list keeps growing as more plugins are added to the official WordPress repository and we introduce premium plugins.
How are plugins downloaded?
The Ploogins API provides, among other things, two parameters: 1) Download_link: The download link for the zip file of the latest plugin version. 2) Versions: A list of links to the zip files for each version of the plugin.
Is it compatible with my current infrastructure?
By nature, the API is and always will be compatible. However, all APIs require some integration work.
Can recommendations be customized based on the user profile?
Currently, all recommendations are search-based, and we do not collect additional user data. However, you could collect data from a user's website and call the Ploogins API to combine both data sets and generate valuable insights.
What security measures does the API include to protect data?
The API is secured with a token that conceals the provider's identity. Upon receiving a response, the search is identified with a unique token, ensuring that only those with the token can access the search.
Do you store searches?
Yes, searches are logged, but we do not identify users.
